IM Collector 1.17 released

We are happy to announce the release of IM Collector 1.17, the next version of music organizer software for Windows. The latest version of IM Collector is always available at IM Collector download page.

What's new in IM Collector 1.17?

  • Now you can move any item displayed in the object tree or Navigator to a new location using drag-and-drop abilities. This is especially handy when you've got two instances of the same artist in your collection (e.g. "Rolling Stones" and "The Rolling Stones") and wish to combine them into one instance.
  • Media Scanner: repeated scanning run by the Scan Again function provides you with two ways of processing the results: a) new results completely rewrite the previous ones; b) new results are appended to the existing ones. The second way can be handy when you scan 2CD (or 3CD, or more-CD) albums and wish to save all CDs as a single album to your collection.
  • If you close a collection during copying tracks to local folder, the copy process terminates automatically.
  • Search Results: double clicking an artist or album in the result list opens a new instance of Navigator containing the clicked object instead of playing it.
  • Internet Finder: All Music Guide reviews are formatted as they actually are at allmusic.com.
  • Running folders from the Storage Media view for playback forced tracks to queue up to intermediate playlist in improper order. It is fixed now.
  • IM Collector didn't prompt the confirmation when you save CD cover image from the application over existing file. Now it does.
  • Fixed bug concerning file type registration under user account with limited permissions.
  • Several small improvements have been made and minor bugs have been fixed.
