We are happy to announce the release of IM Collector 1.2, the next version of the music organizer software for Windows. The latest version of IM Collector is always available at IM Collector download page.

What's new in IM Collector 1.2?

This version noticeably extends capabilities of IM Collector with the powerful export features. We have implemented two different ways to export data from your music collection to the most popular file formats:

Export of current contents or selection from Navigator, Basket, or Search Results to Excel document, Word document, HTML page, or text file. Using this feature you can export your music collection, as well as any part of it, to external file for further printing, sending to friends by e-mail, etc.
Export of information about artists and albums to HTML profiles linked with each other like a website. Using this feature you can export whole music collection to HTML and publish the results on your personal website.

Both of these export modes have additional options available through the Tools | Options... menu item.

In addition to export capabilities we have implemented the following:

Media Scanner: for your convenience, floating toolbar with shortcuts for the most common operations appears during managing the results.
Filters: we have added a drop-down list to the artist name entry. Now you don't have to remember exactly how the name of a particular artist is specified in your collection - you can simply choose it from the list.
Search Results: the Details column has been added to the result list. This column displays artist name for albums and artist name + release year + album name for tracks.
Navigator: the confirmation window appears when you try to leave a filter with modified and not saved condition set.
Fixed bug concerning impossibility to drag & drop objects into expanded Basket.
The Cancel button didn't work properly in the window appeared when a particular medium is inaccessible. It is fixed now.
Fixed bug concerning object multi-selection in the Search Results window.
The read timeout error appeared during the process of downloading covers in some cases, generally, when connection speed is too low. Now it doesn't.
Several small improvements have been made and minor bugs have been fixed.
