IM Collector 1.28 released Download Now Buy Now Subscribe
Happy 2006! We are back from holidays alive and now are glad to announce the unplanned release of IM Collector 1.28, the next version of handy music organizer for Windows. You can download this version right now from IM Collector download page.
What's new in IM Collector 1.28?
The major things we have implemented in this version are:
- The FLAC support: files encoded with Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) are fully supported by IM Collector now. This is our first step to supporting audio files encoded with lossless codecs, i.e. codecs that compress music without any quality loss. Several other codecs are on the way. Special thanks to Eric Domond for his suggestions regarding the subject.
- In some cases, IM Collector might work unstable under Windows 9x/2000 operating systems. It is fixed now.
- New theme called Lacrimosa has been added to HTML profile export feature. Lacrimosa is German gothic band that performs quite dark music, so this theme is accomplished in black and white.
In addition to these major things, we also have implemented the following:
- We have added an option set to the Options window that allows you to customize such scanning settings as file masks, tag read priorities, and so on. Find these options in the Scan | File Types category of the Options window (Tools | Options...).
- Order of album sorting has been changed: if album grouping is not specified, albums are sorted by artist name + release year + album name.
- Media Scanner: the Load Name from Tag function didn't work properly. Now it does.
- Fixed bug concerning the improper reflection of item deletion in some cases.
- IM Collector crashed on scanning when some of ID3 tag parameters are too long. Now it is fixed.
- Several small improvements have been made and minor bugs have been fixed.
