Waiting for the Moon (2003)TindersticksRock Tindersticks are one of the most original and distinctive British bands of the '90s. Their works are standing apart from both of the British indie scene and the rash of Brit-pop guitar combos. Some people compare Tindersticks with Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen. "Waiting for the Moon" is their last work. The most of tracks from this album are performed in melodious and unhurried manner with pronounced string section: acoustic guitar, violin, etc. "Until the Morning Comes", "Sometime It Hurts" (elegant duet with Lhasa de Sala), "My Oblivion" and "Running Wild" are my favorites. This is a good album, I'm pleased. |
