Odin (2003)WizardHeavy Metal Unfortunately, I never heard of this power metal band from Germany before. Their music is similar to Helloween, Rhapsody, Judas Priest, and Manovar: speed guitar passages (Michael Maas), powerful rhythm section (Voler Leson - bass, Snoppi Van Heek - drums) and pushing male vocal (Sven D'Anna). "Odin" is a conceptual album. Its conception is based on the Norse mythology: it's a tale about a supreme god of wisdom and war. Classical combination of myths and power metal music gives very good result. In my opinion, "Odin" is well-worked album and I would like to recommend it to everybody who likes music of this genre. |
