Forever Autumn (1999)Lake Of TearsRock This is a wonderful album by Lake Of Tears, a gothic rock band with some influences of doom. "Forever Autumn" is an appropriate and successful interpretation of the picture of autumn, it's calm and melancholic. This music contains everything that touches me: sad and air-tearing violin (it makes music much atmospheric), firm guitar chords, wonderful keyboard passages, and emotional vocal. All these components together create an amazing atmosphere of slight sadness and endless autumn. This album doesn't contain any middling tracks, I've listened to it with bated breath. Design of the album is very much concerned with album theme, it supplements music with some visual elements, and I think this is a great plus to this work. "Forever Autumn" is a sad, unhurried, athmospheric, and simply beautiful music. |
