2005 was a quite productive year for Adrian Belew: half an year later the release of "Side One" another great album "Side Two" has been released. Unlike previous "Side One", there are no big guest apperances on this album (the previous one was recorded in collaboration with two major rock stars - Les Claypool of Primus and Danny Carey of Tool). Another distinguishing feature of this album is appearance of synthesized elements, generally in rhythm section, on most of tracks. But regardless of the fact that the music has slightly electronic sound, I can't say it sounds poorly. On the contrary, all these loops and synthesized drums in combination with Adrian's creaking and cacophonous guitar have only intensified an atmosphere of the music. I can say with confidence that I haven't ever listened to anything similar to this album. Don't miss it!
