I think "Loverdrive" is the best Scorpions' album. The band performs melodious hard rock with elements of heavy metal: speed and energetic tracks alternate with beautiful lyrical ballads. This album was a breaking point of the former Scorpions sound: this is the first album with new lead guitarist Matthias Jabs who have replaced Uli Jon Roth, and the second one with Michael Schenker who was available after leaving UFO. That was a transitional period for the band, but, however, it haven't became a barrier to record a good album. Authorship of most tracks on this album belongs to Rudolf Schenker (music) and Klaus Meine (lyrics). Among my favorite tracks are "Loving You Sunday Morning", "Another Piece of Meat", "Can't Get Enough" and "Lovedrive".
