Suspended Animation (2005)John PetrucciInstrumental Rock Dream Theater's guitarist John Petrucci is one of the most outstanding guitar heros today. His easily recognizable style of playing guitar is an essential part of Dream Theater's "firm" sound. I like this musician very much, that's why I slightly disappointed with his long-awaited solo album. "Suspended Animation" appears to me as an expressionless, monotonous set of tracks, which, however, demonstrates high guitar skills of John. Not bad, nothing more. |
