Vampyre Erotica (1997)Inkubus SukkubusRock Gothic pagan band Inkubus Sukkubus was formed in England in 1989 by Candia Readley (vocal), Tony McKormack (guitar), and Adam Henderson (bass). "Vampyre Erotica" is their fourth studio album. It opens with energetic "Heart of Lilith", and next four tracks keep the spirit of the title one. The fifth composition is the real surprise - a Rolling Stones cover "Paint It Black". This track sounds excellently, I am very impressed. After "Paint It Black", the album changes its mood: all-out gothic rock is giving way to a softer, deeper, dark-gothic mood. In this part of the album my attention is called by unhurried ballad "Sweet Mortheus", which is one of my favorite tracks. |
