An electronic quartet Ladytron are famous for ability to play with contrast of emotions and styles. This regards not only to their music, but also to an image of the musicians - all four have incredibly stylish haircuts, but at the same time they wear pretty hackneyed suits. While their studio albums are synthesizer-dominated, their live performances are more concentrated on guitars and drums. On this album the quarter keeps the allegiance to balance of human warmth and motorized rhythms. This is an electronic stunt of high degree of complexity, which is performed by Ladytron with invariable success. "Witching Hour" is an adventurous but very serious disc. In fact, this is one of the best present-day samples of electro-dream-pop.
