Dig That Groove Baby (1983)Toy DollsRock This is the debut album of the long-lived punk band from England. This album is one of the essential Toy Dolls' works. If you want some good punk to pick you up, this is the best choice. Every song from this album will stick in your head all the day. The psychobilly version of "Blue Suede Shoes" sounds fun and silly. An excellent track! Except mentioned my favorites tracks are "Nellie The Elephant" and "Worse Things Happen At Sea". Listen this album and enjoy.
Electro Glide in Blue (1997)Apollo 440Electronica Apollo 440 is electronica band with its own style, which is different from others. This album is like some rock ballad: sometimes its sound streams and flows slowly, with some sadness in a soul, but sometimes it turns into a scream of joy, which makes me start. Electro Glide in Blue is a mix of different emotions, and when I listen to this album, it's like I'm running through all my life from the beginning to these days.
The Best of Cafe Del Mar (2003)Cafe Del MarElectronica A lapping of waves, a whisper of breeze, bright sun and exotics - that's what this album tells about. It reminds me my recent vacations spent in Thailand, and it is full of atmosphere of pleasure and unity with exotic nature and friendly people. This is one of the most wonderful feelings I ever felt in the rest of my life. An excellent album.
AEnima (1996)ToolAlt. Rock This is probably the best album by american heavy metal band Tool, which performs the fusion of loud, powerful alternative metal with art-rock music elements. Some people define music of Tool as progressive metal, but personally I don't think so. However, I found their music very interesting, and I think I can recommend this album to anyone who loves modern heavy metal music with original, unusual sound.
In the Court of the Crimson King (1969)King CrimsonProgressive Rock This is the first album by King Crimson, which had made a great success in 1969 and opened the era of progressive rock on world's music scene. These days "In the Court of the Crimson King" is considered a true masterpiece and classics of art rock, and I would like to recommend it to anyone who interested in progressive rock and, especially, in art rock as well as in its roots and backgrounds.
Couldn't Have Said It Better (2003)Meat LoafRock This album is my first acquaintance with works of Meat Loaf. I've liked it with the first chords of the title track. All songs are delivered with a mature depth of passion that grips the soul. First five tracks were written by Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue) and James Michael (except of "Why Isn't That Enough"). This part sounds very powerful and emotive, and ends up with excellent "Man Of Steel" (duet with Pearl Aday). Other tracks are nice too, but I prefer the first five.
